Romancing the Rock

2010, Textiles and metal staples in two sides of a drywall cube, 96 x 96 x 96 inches

Romancing the Rock was a temporary installation made for The Jewel Thief, a group show curated by Artist Jessica Stockholder and curator Ian Berry at the Frances Young Tang Museum at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, New York. I worked on two faces of an 8’ft x 8ft x 8ft cube that was built as part of Stockholder's exhibition design. A framed work by Polly Apfelbaum hung on top of my piece, and the adjacent faces of the cube were covered with wallpaper designed by Virgil Marti.
